- Upon landing at Chengdu Shuangliu/Tianfu Airport or arriving by train, your private guide and driver will greet you and transfer you to your centrally located hotel.
- Check in and take a moment to freshen up before heading out to sample Sichuan’s famous spicy‑numbing cuisine.
Afternoon – Jinsha Site Museum

Day 2: Panda Encounters, Historic Alleys & Monastery Visit
Early Morning – Chengdu Panda Base
- After an early breakfast, drive to the Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding. Visiting between 8:30 and 9:00 AM lets you catch the pandas’ feeding time, when they’re most active—climbing, munching bamboo and frolicking.
- Spend about two hours exploring multiple enclosures that shelter some 240 pandas. Cooler days often yield more panda sightings.
Late Morning – Wide and Narrow Alleys
- Head to the 300‑year‑old Qintai (“Wide and Narrow”) Alley district, where refurbished traditional houses now host teahouses, art studios and eateries.
- Watch artisans shape sugar paintings and clay figurines, and optionally experience Sichuan opera face‑changing or the famed local ear‑cleaning service (at your own expense).
Afternoon – Wenshu Monastery
- Visit Chengdu’s best‑preserved Buddhist temple, founded over 1,400 years ago.
- Wander through six main halls lined along the central axis, marvel at gilded statues, ancient scriptures and ritual objects.
- Learn about the temple’s most sacred relics—Sakyamuni’s finger bone and Xuanzang’s skull fragment—which are displayed on special Buddhist festivals.
- Enjoy the serene monastery gardens before returning to the city.
Evening – Departure
- Your guide will drive you to Chengdu’s airport or train station for your onward journey.
- If you choose to extend your stay, just let us know—we’re happy to design additional days.
