11 – Day Journey to Tibet
A breathtaking view through Tibet from Nyingchi to Lhasa to Everest Base Camp and returning via Lhasa-Qinghai railway
A glimpse of Tibet.
Ours was an 11 Day Classic Tibet Tour starting from Chengdu to Nyimchi- Lhasa- Shigatze -EBC-Lhasa-Train to Xining and flight back to Chengdu. Our group members were above 60s and 70s years old. The trip was well planned to allow us to acclimatize. It was an experience of a life time with breathtaking views from Portola Palace to Mount Everest. We were very lucky to able to stay overnight at the EBC's Rongbuk Hotel. On a hindsight, we should have done the 13 Day trip, less stressful and allow us more time to acclimatize. Our Tour Guide, Lopsang and the Tour company Journey2Tibet (Xueyang) were very helpful and of great help. I highly recommend this Tour Company.
Spiritual Journey at Jokhang Temple
Pilgrims circled Jokhang Temple, spinning prayer wheels and chanting. I joined in, feeling the rhythmic hum of devotion. The golden roof shimmered against the deep blue sky, and inside, every altar offered a new treasure to admire. A deeply moving cultural immersion.
Well organised, good itinerary and helpful guide
The 6 of us joined the 11 days Tibet trip which include Nyingchi peach blossom, Yamdrok Lake, Lhasa and Everest base camp. We were assigned to Nian Tza, who was a very knowledgeable and experienced.guide. He was accommodating and attention to details, which made our trip a very smooth and enjoyable one. The driver Qi Mei was a lively bloke who constantly amused us but also kept monitoring our health conditions.
Over all the program was paced well, allowing us to really appreciate this wonderful land. The scenery, history and to be able to see Mt Everest up close is really an experience of a life time.
For the return trip, highly recommend to take the train from Lhasa to Xining. It's quite an incredible experience.
Overall we are most please with their service.
Breathtaking Serenity at Potala Palace
Visiting Lhasa’s Potala Palace at sunrise was a soul‑stirring experience. The ancient red and white walls glowed in the soft light, and my guide’s stories of Dalai Lama history brought every corridor to life. I felt an overwhelming sense of peace that lingered long after I left.
Adrenaline Rush to Everest Base Camp
The road to Everest Base Camp tested my nerves with its winding mountain passes and thin air. Reaching the camp at 5,200 m, I stood in awe of the world’s highest peak. It wasn’t easy, but that sense of accomplishment—seeing Everest up close—made every uphill mile worth it.
Magical Sunsets on Yamdrok Lake
Yamdrok Lake’s turquoise water framed by snow‑capped peaks looked like a scene from a dream. I arrived just as the sun dipped behind the mountains, casting pink and gold reflections across the surface. It was one of the most photogenic moments I’ve ever captured.

13-Day Exploration of Nyingchi, Lhasa, and Everest
Spent 13 days diving deep into Tibet's beauty, and it was unforgettable. Started with a flight to Xining, then hopped on the train to Lhasa—talk about a scenic route! Nyingchi's Basomtso Lake was a serene escape, and the views of Namcha Barwa Mountain? Jaw-dropping. Back in Lhasa, revisiting the Potala Palace and Jokhang Temple felt like reconnecting with old friends. The trek to Everest Base Camp was tough but totally worth it.
