Welcome to the amazing city of Chongqing! Your guide and driver will meet you at your downtown hotel to begin the day’s exploration.

Your first stop is the Three Gorges Museum. Its extensive collection tells the story of the Yangtze River, the formation of the Three Gorges, and Chongqing’s 3,000-year history. Right next door, admire the impressive architecture of the People’s Assembly Hall.

Next, experience the city like a local by riding Light Rail Line 2. Enjoy views of streets, bridges, and the Jialing River before getting off at Liziba Station to witness the famous sight of a train passing directly through a residential building.

Continue to the iconic Hongya Cave, an 11-story complex of traditional stilted houses built into the hillside. Then, ascend to the “Eye in the Clouds” Observation Deck (520m altitude) for a breathtaking 360-degree panoramic view of Chongqing.

After the tour, you will be transferred to the railway station for your high-speed train to Chengdu (approx. 1.5 hours).

Chengdu Day trip: Giant Panda, Wenshu Temple, People’s Park

This morning, visit the Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding, home to over 100 pandas. Stroll along bamboo-lined paths to see them eating, playing, and climbing. You might even spot adorable cubs in the nursery. The on-site Panda Museum offers deeper scientific insights.

Next, find tranquility at Wenshu Temple, a serene Buddhist complex in the city center. Appreciate its peaceful atmosphere and architecture, then browse the adjacent Wenshufang market for a local experience.

Later, immerse yourself in Chengdu’s famous laid-back culture at People’s Park. Join locals in a teahouse, watch games of mahjong, or see traditional ear cleaning.

Your final stop is the vibrant Jinli Old Street, brimming with local snacks, crafts, and folk culture—a perfect way to soak up the city’s lively spirit.

After the tour, your guide will escort you back to your hotel.
