Yangtze River Cruise: Visit to Fengdu Ghost City
Today’s journey continues downstream on the tranquil Yangtze River. Begin your morning at a relaxed pace, enjoying the scenic views bathed in soft sunlight or early mist. After a buffet breakfast, you may choose from various onboard cultural activities or take a shore excursion to explore traditional Chinese heritage.
In the afternoon, accompanied by an English-speaking guide, you’ll disembark for a guided tour of Fengdu Ghost City—a vast complex of temples, shrines, and monasteries associated with the afterlife in Chinese folklore. Here, you’ll hear mythic tales about spirits, demons, and the underworld as imagined in Chinese culture.
Alternatively, for an additional fee, you may opt to visit Shibaozhai Pagoda in Zhongxian County, celebrated as one of the world’s eight architectural wonders. This striking 12-storey wooden structure clings to a cliffside, and from its summit, you’ll enjoy sweeping views of the Yangtze River.

Yangtze River Cruise: Exploring the Three Gorges & Shennv Stream
Today is dedicated to experiencing the breathtaking beauty of the renowned Three Gorges. Your journey begins with a passage through Qutang Gorge, famed for its dramatic cliffs and striking landscapes—don’t miss the iconic Kui Gate. The cruise continues into the tranquil and picturesque Wuxia Gorge, followed by the longest and most treacherous of the three, Xiling Gorge, known for its swirling currents and rocky terrain. Enjoy the live commentary from your guide as you take in the stunning scenery from the comfort of the ship.
In the afternoon, embark on a relaxing shore excursion to Shennv Stream (also known as Goddess Stream) in Wushan County. You’ll board a smaller vessel to travel deeper into this untouched tributary, where you can admire the soaring cliffs and ancient hanging coffins carved high above. Those interested may also join in a cultural performance led by local Tujia guides, featuring traditional singing and dancing.
This evening, gather with fellow passengers for the Captain’s Farewell Party, sharing memories over a cheerful dinner.

Yangtze River Cruise: Disembarkation & Visit to the Three Gorges Dam
After enjoying your breakfast, you’ll complete check-out formalities and disembark at Maoping Port. Today’s highlight is a visit to the Three Gorges Dam, the largest hydroelectric project in China. Take the opportunity to witness the massive dam structure and its intricate lock system. Towering at 181 metres and stretching 2,335 metres across the Yangtze River, the scale of the dam is truly awe-inspiring.
For a more immersive experience, you may opt to travel through the Three Gorges Dam Ship Lift—the world’s largest of its kind—offering an up-close and exhilarating view of the dam’s engineering marvel.
Following the tour, a tourist coach arranged by the cruise company will transfer you to Yichang’s Three Gorges Center Cruise Terminal, arriving around 12:30–13:00.
