After breakfast, your guide and driver will meet you at the hotel for the 2.5-hour journey to Wulong Karst Geological Park. Upon arrival, a shuttle will take you into the heart of the karst landscape.
Your first stop is the Three Natural Bridges—Tianlong, Qinglong, and Heilong—the largest cluster of natural stone bridges in Asia. Made famous as a filming location for Transformers 4, these colossal arches tower above the Yangshui River. Follow your guide on a walk through the valley to admire their scale and the ancient architecture nestled beneath them.
Next, visit Longshui Gorge, known for its deep, narrow cliffs and hidden waterfalls. Here, you’ll descend by elevator into a dramatic canyon for an up-close view of cascading water—a refreshing escape from the city’s heat. Please note that some paths can be slippery; sturdy shoes and a light layer are recommended.
After the visit, your driver will take you back to your hotel in Chongqing.

Today, your guide will lead you on a journey through Chongqing’s unique urban culture and local lifestyle.
Your first stop is Liziba Light Rail Station, where you can witness the extraordinary sight of a train passing directly through a residential building. Arrive early to secure a good spot at the viewing platform and capture the moment—using a wide-angle lens from a low angle can make for a striking photo. For a fun shot, you can even pretend to “swallow” the train as it passes by every 7 minutes.
Next, visit Kuixing Tower to experience firsthand why Chongqing is called an “8D city.” Standing on the square, you may feel you’re on ground level—only to discover you’re actually on the rooftop of a 22-story building. The two suspended sky corridors add a touch of adventure with a gentle sway as you walk across.
Then, take a ride on the Yangtze River Cableway, which has been in operation for about 40 years. Once a vital cross-river transit for locals, the 1,166-meter cable car now offers visitors a 6-minute journey with breathtaking views of the city skyline and the river below.
Afterward, explore Longmenhao Old Street near the cableway’s south station. As the best-preserved historical street in downtown Chongqing, it features 18 well-maintained old buildings, including the former residence of a U.S. Embassy military attaché. From here, you can also enjoy a panoramic view of the river peninsula and its densely layered, cyberpunk-like cityscape.
At the end of the day, your guide will escort you to the railway station for a roughly 1-hour high-speed train to Chengdu. Upon arrival, a local guide will meet you and assist with hotel check-in.

Chengdu Day Trip
Welcome to Chengdu—the hometown of China’s beloved national treasure, the giant panda! This charming city warmly greets you with its iconic black-and-white bears.
After breakfast, your private guide and driver will take you to the Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding, home to the largest collection of giant pandas in the world—over 260 of them! The base opens at 7:30 am, and we recommend arriving early to see the pandas at their most active. Before 10:00 am, you can watch them climb trees, play, and enjoy their favorite bamboo and fruit outdoors. If you visit between June and September, you may even catch a glimpse of adorable newborn panda cubs basking in the sunshine on the lawn—a delightful show that usually lasts 30 minutes to an hour.
In the afternoon, immerse yourself in the local atmosphere of the Xiaojihe Community, where the true heartbeat of authentic Chengdu can be felt. Wander through the neighborhood and feel its lively energy as residents chat under the trees or play mahjong. For a closer look into daily life, visit the local wet market—a vibrant display of fresh vegetables, fragrant spices, and seasonal seafood.
Wrap up your day at a breezy riverside teahouse, where you can sip coffee or tea from a traditional lidded cup. Relax to the gentle hum of local dialect and, with your guide’s help, maybe even strike up a conversation with friendly Chengdu residents.

Your guide and driver will meet you at the hotel for the 2-hour journey to the magnificent Leshan Giant Buddha. Upon arrival, you’ll board a sightseeing cruise for a 30-minute panoramic view of the 71-meter (233-foot) statue carved into a ochre-red cliff over 1,200 years ago. The boat pauses for about 10 minutes in front of the Buddha, allowing ample time for photos.
Originally built to calm the turbulent waters where three rivers meet, the Buddha was carved over 90 years by three generations of craftsmen. After the cruise, follow your guide on a walk from the Buddha’s feet to its head to observe its remarkable details—from the 1,051 stone curls in its hair to the hidden drainage systems integrated into its ears, robe folds, and back, which have helped preserve it through centuries of wind and rain.
After the visit, return to Chengdu with your guide and driver to explore the Wide and Narrow Alleys. This restored historical area blends traditional Sichuan courtyard architecture with subtle Western influences. Today, the lively lanes are filled with teahouses, local snack stalls, craft shops, and cultural exhibits—a perfect place to experience Chengdu’s relaxed pace and pick up affordable panda souvenirs.
