Xinduqiao Travel Guide : Routes, Photo Spots & Self-Drive Tips

1. Why Visit Xinduqiao?

Xinduqiao is known as a “photographers’ paradise,” not because of a single attraction, but because the entire region is incredibly scenic.

Instead of traditional sightseeing, this is a place for slow travel—golden grasslands, Tibetan villages, snow-capped mountains, and magical light conditions, especially at sunrise and sunset.

2. Transportation (Very Important)

🚗 Best Option: Self-Drive or Carpool

Public transportation is extremely limited, so driving is the most practical way.

Two Main Routes

① Route 318 (Direct Route)
Cross Zheduo Mountain Pass (4,962m)
⚠️ Snow chains needed in winter/spring

Better road conditions + great photo stops
