Chengdu-Nyingchi Arrive at Milin Airport before 11:00am

Milin Peach Blossom Avenue, Basomtso Lake, Laru Village Wild Peach Blossom, Gala Peach Blossom Village;

Arrive at Nyingchi Milin Airport around 11am, then visit Milin Peach Blossom Village: Milin Peach Blossom Village is located in Milin County. Every spring, the whole village is decorated with pink peach blossoms like a poem. The peach blossoms here attract many tourists to enjoy.

Then go to Basomtso Lake. Basomtso Lake is one of the famous alpine lakes in Tibet, located in Bomi County, Nyingchi Prefecture. Every spring, magnificent peach blossoms bloom on the lakeside and surrounding hillsides, forming an intoxicating scenery. Basomtso Lake Peach Blossom Village is located near this beautiful lake and is one of the best places to enjoy the blooming peach blossoms. You can also enjoy the Bangjietang Grassland along the way and arrive in Lhasa in the evening.

Tongmai Natural Barrier, Guxiang Lake, Peach Blossom Valley

Depart in the morning and pass through the Tongmai Natural Barrier to reach Guxiang Lake. Guxiang Lake is located in Guxiang Village, about 33 kilometers from Bomi County in Tibet and 210 kilometers from Nyingchi. The lake sits at an altitude of 2,600 meters, stretching 5 kilometers in length, up to 2 kilometers in width at its widest point, and over 20 meters at its deepest. Covering an area of 20,000 square meters, it is a freshwater barrier lake.

There is a small island in the middle of the lake, measuring over 1,000 square meters. Located along National Highway G318, the lake is easily accessible and serves as a natural park. It was formed in 1953 when a massive mudslide caused by glacial activity on Mount Xionglugeni behind Guxiang Village—specifically from the “Kagongnongba” area—blocked the Parlung Tsangpo River, creating this scenic lake.

Midui Glacier (with electric shuttle) & Ranwu Tso

Midui Glacier is located in Yupu Township of Bomi County, about 103 kilometers from the county seat and 8 kilometers off National Highway G318. The nearest village is just 2 kilometers away. It is one of the most important maritime glaciers in Tibet. The glacier’s main peak reaches an elevation of 6,800 meters, while the snow line lies at just 4,600 meters. The glacier shines with year-round snow and ice, offering magical and captivating scenery.

The ice is pure as jade, the landscape graceful and ever-changing. At the foot of the glacier lies a forest of mixed coniferous and broadleaf trees. White snow blankets the mountaintop year-round, while the green forest remains vibrant in all seasons—like a silver headscarf above a jade-green dress. Due to the relatively warm temperatures on the glacier surface, various microorganisms such as ice worms and snow fleas thrive here year-round.

Influenced by the climate of the eastern Himalayas, Midui Glacier—though located at a latitude of 29°N—has terminal temperatures lower than those of glaciers in the Bogda Mountains at approximately 44°N, making it a rare phenomenon among modern Chinese glaciers.

Galang Lake, Lulang Forest Viewpoint, and Lulang International Tourism Town

Galang Lake is located in Runa and Galang villages of Guxiang Township, northwest of Bomi County, Tibet. It lies along National Highway G318, just 1.7 kilometers from the main road, 17 kilometers from the county seat, and 228 kilometers from Bayi Town (the regional center). From the Kada Bridge in Bomi, it takes about 4 kilometers of mountain road through Galang Village to reach the lake.

Covering an area of over 15,000 square meters, the lake is surrounded by lush green mountains and ancient towering trees. The natural scenery is stunning, and the traditional Tibetan dwellings in the area offer unique architectural charm. The lake is also home to the historic remains of the famous Galang Kingdom, along with descendants of the Galang royal family, making it an excellent destination for cultural and ecological tourism.

Biri Sacred Mountain Scenic Area, Lalin Expressway, and Medicine King Mountain (Viewpoint)

Biri Sacred Mountain, known in Tibetan as “Monkey Mountain,” is one of the most renowned sacred mountains in the Nyingchi region. According to legend, the mountain was blessed by Guru Padmasambhava.

The scenic area is composed of several parts: the Sacred Mountain Ecological Plaza, Brookside Area, Tangcheng Monastery Scenic Zone, Prayer Flag Array, and Ancient Ruins Area. Every year, countless pilgrims come to walk the kora (circumambulation) around the mountain, making it a place of deep spiritual and cultural significance.

Lhasa: Potala Palace, Jokhang Temple, and Barkhor Street

In the morning, visit the Potala Palace, the highest ancient palace-style architectural complex in the world. Once the residence of successive Dalai Lamas, it was the political and religious center of Tibet. The palace houses the golden stupas containing the mummified remains of past Dalai Lamas, along with a vast collection of precious murals, thangkas, and Buddhist statues, making it a profound embodiment of Tibetan culture.

After lunch, tour the Jokhang Temple, the earliest Buddhist shrine built during the Tubo Kingdom. It enshrines the life-sized statue of 12-year-old Shakyamuni, which accompanied Princess Wencheng to Tibet. This statue is considered the most sacred and miraculous by Tibetan people. Here, visitors can not only witness the deep devotion of the pilgrims but also join the locals in a kora (pilgrimage circuit) around Barkhor Street, praying for all sentient beings.

Lhasa – Yamdrok Lake – Karola Glacier – Lhasa

In the morning, depart from Lhasa and drive toward Yamdrok Lake, one of the three sacred lakes of Tibet, renowned for its ever-changing, vibrant colors. Sitting at an altitude of 4,441 meters, it is one of the highest freshwater lakes in the world. Known in Tibetan as the “Turquoise Lake,” Yamdrok Lake lies nestled among mountains. After descending the mountain, you’ll have a chance to get up close to the lake. The deep blue waters blend seamlessly with the snow-capped peaks in the distance, while the colorful surrounding mountains, traditional Tibetan villages, and herds of yaks and sheep create a breathtaking and serene landscape.

In the afternoon, pass by and admire the Karola Glacier from a distance. Marvel at its majestic presence, ethereal mists, and stunning beauty. The glacier, shaped by the forces of time, snow, and ice, stands as a magnificent natural sculpture—an awe-inspiring masterpiece carved by the passage of geological ages. Afterward, return to Lhasa.

Lhasa – Qinghai-Tibet Railway (Soft Sleeper)

Board the morning train departing from Lhasa on the famous Qinghai-Tibet Railway. This departure time is ideal for enjoying the breathtaking scenery along the way, especially as the train passes through the vast and remote Hoh Xil (Kekexili) uninhabited region — a wild and pristine landscape rarely seen by most travelers.

Accommodation: Onboard soft sleeper train (Some travelers may depart earlier via other return options)
