Arrive in Zhangjiajie
After arrive in Zhangjiajie, our driver will be waiting for you at the airport exit and will provide a comfortable transfer to your hotel in the Wulingyuan Scenic Area. The journey is approximately 35 kilometers and takes about 1 hour. After check-in, the remainder of the day is yours to relax or explore at your leisure.

Zhangjiajie Day Trip: Bailong Elevator-Yuanjiajie-Tianzi Mountain
After breakfast, venture into Zhangjiajie National Forest Park, China’s first national forest park.
Take the scenic shuttle bus to the Bailong Elevator, renowned as the “World’s Highest Outdoor Lift.” This engineering marvel holds the Guinness World Record and transports you from the base to the mountaintop in just 118 seconds.
Upon reaching the summit, enjoy panoramic views before entering the real-world “Pandora” – Yuanjiajie Scenic Area, the filming location for Avatar and home to the Hallelujah Mountain (formerly “South Sky Column”).
Follow the trails to explore highlights like Back Garden, Enchanting Platform, and the First Bridge Under Heaven (a natural stone bridge and iconic landmark). Along the way, immerse yourself in the surreal peaks and learn about the region’s unique geological formations.
Board the scenic shuttle to Tianzi Mountain Nature Reserve, known as the “Kingdom of Peak Forest.”
Visit Dianjiang Platform for sweeping views of the West Sea Peak Forest.
Admire the Imperial Brush Peaks, a row of slender, brush-like summits, before walking to Helong Park to explore the memorial dedicated to Marshal He Long and the history of his revolutionary campaigns.

Zhangjiajie Grand Canyon-Baofeng Lake
After breakfast, embark on a scenic 56-kilometer drive (approximately 1.5 hours) to the Zhangjiajie Grand Canyon, renowned as one of the world’s most beautiful canyons.
Experience the breathtaking Yuntiandu Glass Bridge, the world’s longest and highest all-transparent glass bridge. Spanning about 375 meters and composed of 99 glass panels, it appears almost invisible against the skyline. Suspended 300 meters above the canyon floor, it offers thrilling panoramic views and a direct look into the depths below.
Optional: Adventurous visitors may try the world’s highest bungee jump platform at the center of the bridge (additional cost applies).
Continue to Baofeng Lake, a mirror-like lake nestled among towering peaks. Its emerald waters reflect the sky, clouds, and surrounding mountains like a traditional ink painting.
Enjoy a leisurely cruise on a classic-style boat, immersing yourself in the serene beauty of the lake and its lush scenery.
After the tour, return to Zhangjiajie city center (about 35 kilometers, 1-hour drive) and check in to your hotel to rest.

Tianmen Mountain-Fenghuang Ancient Town
After breakfast, you will visit Tianmen Mountain National Forest Park. Located about 8 kilometers from downtown Zhangjiajie, Tianmen Mountain is revered as the “Number One Sacred Mountain of Western Hunan” and is suitable for visitors of all ages. You will take the cable car directly to the mountaintop (about 30 minutes). During the ride, you can look down at the 99‑bend winding mountain road and the surrounding low‑lying hills.
Upon reaching the summit, you will begin two exciting cliff‑walk hikes. First, experience the fully transparent glass walkway (1.6 m wide, 60 m long). Walking on it feels like strolling above the clouds, with majestic mountain scenery beside you and a deep, bottomless valley underfoot—a truly thrilling experience. Afterwards, hike the 1,600‑meter Guigu Cliff Walkway. The entire walkway clings to the steep cliff face like a giant dragon, allowing you to look down at the mountain ranges below—both breathtaking and spectacular.
Next, visit Tianmen Temple, one of only five Buddhist temples in the world that preserve the Buddha’s sarīra relics. You may also go to Yunmeng Peak, the highest point of the Tianmen Mountain scenic area, for a panoramic view of the surroundings.
Then, take the escalator down to Tianmen Cave, the must‑see highlight of Tianmen Mountain and the world’s highest natural karst arch. After admiring the cave, you can choose to walk down the steep 999‑step staircase or take the elevator directly to the cable station, before riding the cable car back down the mountain.
After visiting Tianmen Mountain, transfer to Fenghuang Ancient Town by car (about 3.5 h) or high‑speed train (1 h). If time permits, do not miss the night view of Fenghuang Ancient Town. When night falls, the ancient town’s nightscape is absolutely stunning. You can stroll through the old streets, admire the glittering lights, taste the local snacks, and immerse yourself in the charm of the ancient town at night.

About Fenghuang Ancient Town:
Fenghuang is recognized as one of China’s most beautiful ancient towns, famous for its well‑preserved historic appearance, diverse folk culture, and picturesque landscape. Nestled between hills and water, with the Tuo River flowing through its heart, the town is characterized by bluestone‑paved streets, riverside stilted houses, numerous ancient structures, and a strong Miao ethnic atmosphere—all creating a uniquely charming ambiance.
After your visit, travel about 2 hours by car to the foot of Fanjingshan, where we have carefully selected a hotel in Jiangkou County for your stay. Check in and settle in for the evening.

Fanjingshan Day Trip
After breakfast, your guide and driver will take you to Fanjingshan for a full day in this “Pure Land.”
First, take a 30‑minute scenic bus and a 20‑minute cable car up the mountain. On clear days, distant skylines are visible; in mist, you may see the “Cloud Sea over Forest” spectacle.
A 40‑minute forest trail leads to the Mushroom Stone—a billion‑year‑old, mushroom‑shaped rock perfect for photos.
Descend stone steps through Pudu Square, then hike about 1.5 hours to the Red Clouds Golden Summit (2,336 m), named for the red clouds often surrounding it—a symbol of good fortune.
After visiting, return to Pudu Square. If time allows, see nearby Chengen Temple, a Ming‑era imperial worship site, and enjoy the tranquil scenery.
Finally, take the cable car and bus back down. Your driver will return you to your hotel in Jiangkou County.
