Day 1: Arrival in Lhasa

Upon your arrival in Lhasa, our Tibetan guide will greet you with a traditional Hada and warm blessings before escorting you to your downtown hotel, where you can enjoy scenic views of the Yarlung Tsangpo and Lhasa Rivers along the way. After settling in, please take the day to rest and acclimatize to the high altitude. Should you require any assistance, our service center at the Lhasa Gang-Gyan Hotel is always at your disposal. Enjoy your first overnight stay in the holy city of Lhasa.

Day 2: Lhasa Tour – Drepung Monastery and Sera Monastery

Begin your morning at Drepung Monastery, the largest in Tibet, to explore the grand Coqen Hall and learn about the profound history and figures of Tibetan Buddhism. You’ll also visit Loseling College (or an equivalent) for a rare glimpse into the daily lives and study routines of the monks. In the afternoon, head to Sera Monastery to witness the legendary Monks’ Debate, where your guide will explain the academic significance of this dynamic tradition. The day concludes with a welcome dinner, featuring traditional Tibetan gifts and an opportunity to bond with your fellow travelers. Stay overnight in Lhasa.

Day 3: Lhasa Tour – Potala Palace, Jokhang Temple, Barkhor Street

Start your day at the majestic Potala Palace to explore the gilded burial stupas of past Dalai Lamas and the historic meditation cave of King Songtsen Gampo, all while enjoying panoramic views of Lhasa. Afterward, admire the palace from a new perspective at Longwangtan Park, a hub for local folk activities. In the afternoon, visit the Jokhang Temple to see the sacred life-sized statue of the 12-year-old Buddha and witness pilgrims prostrating in faith. Day 4: Lhasa to Shigatse via Gyantse

Ascend the Gampala Pass (4,790m) for breathtaking views of the turquoise Yamdrok Lake against the backdrop of Holy Mount Nyenchen Khangsar. After a scenic lakeshore exploration and an authentic lunch with a local Tibetan family, continue past the majestic Karola Glacier, the largest in Tibet. Along the road to Gyantse, stop at Simila Pass to hang prayer flags for blessings. After capturing the historic charm of Gyantse, enjoy a scenic drive through rolling barley fields and farmlands to Shigatse, Tibet’s second-largest city, where you will rest and prepare for tomorrow’s journey to Mount Everest. Stay overnight in Shigatse.

Day 5: Shigatse to

After breakfast, embark on an epic journey to Mount Everest, beginning with your first glimpse of the “lotus-like” peak at Gyatsola Pass (5,280m). Upon entering the Nature Reserve, marvel at the world’s highest peaks from Gawula Pass (5,198m) before descending the zigzag road toward Everest Base Camp (5,000m). From your arrival at the base of the colossal white pyramid to the breathtaking “Golden Sunset” on the northern face, you will witness the mountain’s grandeur from five unique perspectives. As night falls, conclude your day with a spectacular view of the Milky Way shimmering above the snowy summit. Stay overnight at Everest Base Camp.

Day 6: EBC to Sakya

In the morning, visit the world’s highest spiritual site, Rongbuk Monastery, before departing the base camp via the scenic Dinggye route. Day 7: Shigatse to Bange

Embark on a drive across the boundless Qiangtang Grassland, a vast expanse in northern Tibet reminiscent of the African savanna, dotted with yak herds and elusive wild antelopes. After a relaxing stop at a natural hot spring, journey deeper into the wilderness to discover hidden lakes and snow-capped horizons. The highlight of the day is the massive Serling Tso, Tibet’s largest lake, where the sapphire waters at 4,700m create the illusion of a limitless sea. Your journey concludes in Bange County (Baingoin) for the night, surrounded by the raw beauty of the high plateau. Stay overnight in Bange.

Day 8: Bange to Namtso Lake and Drive to Damxung

Depart Bange for a scenic journey across the northern Tibetan grasslands, where grazing yaks and leaping antelopes frame the horizon. Enjoy a leisurely trek on Tashi Dor Island and stroll along the lakeshore to feel the fresh breeze and witness the vibrant prayer flags fluttering against the deep blue water. As the day concludes, cross the sprawling meadows of the northeast shore to reach Damxung for your overnight stay.

Day 9: Damxung to Lhasa
