Arrival in Lhasa
Upon your arrival in Lhasa—whether by train or flight—you will be warmly welcomed by your Tibetan guide, who will present you with a traditional Hada as a gesture of good wishes.
You will then be transferred to your hotel in downtown Lhasa. Along the way, you may catch views of the Yarlung Tsangpo (Brahmaputra River), the longest river in Tibet, as well as the Lhasa River.
After check-in, it’s recommended to rest and allow your body to gradually acclimate to the high altitude.

Potala Palace – Jokhang Temple – Barkhor Street
After breakfast, you will visit the iconic Potala Palace, where you can overlook the old city of Lhasa and explore its rich history. Inside, you’ll learn about the lives of past Dalai Lamas and admire priceless treasures, including the gilded stupas and ancient meditation chambers.
Afterward, take a short walk to Longwangtan Park at the foot of the palace, offering a different angle to appreciate the grandeur of the Potala and a chance to experience local Tibetan daily life.
In the afternoon, continue to Jokhang Temple, the spiritual heart of Tibet, where the revered statue of the young Buddha Sakyamuni is enshrined. Outside, observe devoted pilgrims performing prostrations. You can then stroll along Barkhor Street, join locals in the kora, and browse the traditional market.
